Lasagna

Anyone know of a good site for Lasagna?
Recipes that is easy (Nothing like Jamie Oliver, tried looking at one his recipes and I was dumb founded with the items you need to get) to make and not too complicated.
But something unique.
Why I am asking?
My friend is doing a Lasagna cook off in March.
Want to impress my friends if I can.

I will dig around.

Bus strike is over!!

I can die happy (literally).
The bus strike is over!
I can tell everyone in Ottawa is very relieved.
Just have to find out when the buses be running?

My other guess besides the Federal Government stepping in is because President Barack Obama will be visiting Canada.
Ottawa will be the first visit and don’t want alot of traffic chaos happening for his first visit.

Dinner Jacket: Uber

I didn’t contribute with any photos for the January issue of The Dinner Jacket Magazine due to the bus strike.

There is a nice article of Tarek Al-Zand’s exhibition called Dirty Laundry.
And other lovely photography in the arts and fashions of Ottawa.

Click here to check out the “Uber” issue.

Lost – Jughead

I was listening to CBC’s Q today and they had their “Tube Team” and discussing on why shows like LOST are losing their viewers.
Typically being a bad break-up with your favourite TV show.
It was a interesting discussion.

Anyways I thought tonight’s episode was great.
This time the episode Jughead dealt more on the remaining survivors on the island during the whole light flashing time warp.
Favorite Sawyer nickname was he called Faraday “The Geek” and Its a “I’m an Other, and another Other reunion” (which made me laugh)

While last week he called Charlotte “Ginger”.

There is so many twist and turns with LOST.
Never thought something happened in the island in 1954!

At least it was great to hear the actor who plays “Mr.Widmore” speak in his British accent, since he was on Ugly Betty and The OC while using an American accent.

Just leaves me hanging and wanting more.

Actually made sense on the episode title “Jughead“, you’ll have to watch it and find out what I mean.
Have to wait next week.

Day 50 of this Ottawa bus strike!

Today’s post is brought to you by the number 50.
Its Day 50 of the OC Transpo bus strike.
Isn’t it a “Silver Anniversary”?
I swear its unbelievable, when will this strike end?
I know there are alot of people in Ottawa that want this to end.
Can’t we learn this lesson from a typical “The Simpsons” episode?

I just want this to end.
I feel like I am in the grey area, can’t tell from black and white.
Unless you can give me reasons on why OC Transpo or City Of Ottawa is being dumb on handling what is important for the citizens of Ottawa?

Sorry if I am in a Sesame Street mood. Just surprised by my last post about last night’s episode of Scrubs (a little bit disappointed but I laughed during Grover’s scenes) and getting alot of hits from it.
And I feel like getting the “Old School” collections on DVD.

Want to know if its worth it?

Scrubs – My ABC’s

I haven’t watched alot of the episodes for Scrubs.
Just watched tonight’s episode because it was the Sesame Street episode.
I saw the commercial last week during the Inauguration.

It is a good show since there is way too much “serious” medical shows not alot of sitcoms relating to medical stuff.

Felt abit gipped by the episode because I thought there would be alot of the characters from Sesame Street.

Only there was four characters and was very short.
Since Zach Braff’s character J.D. was day dreaming about them working in the hospital.
The muppets were:

  • Oscar the Grouch
  • Grover (Very funny and did the near and far)
  • Some muppet
  • Elmo

It is a 30 minute show but would be nice to see more like Big Bird or Ernie and Bert or cute Telly.

That will be the only Scrubs episode I will see.
Nice to hear this singer named Joshua Radin(Thank you for closed captioning for the info) singing the Sesame Street song which felt piano ballady and stripped down.

Ghost Whisperer and other shows

With the OC Transpo strike, I guess there is a perk.
Besides staying home, I am watching TV shows that I normally don’t watch on a Friday night.
One show that I’ve started watching is Ghost Whisperer.
Yes I know its a cheesy show but watching abit of this seasons episode, I couldn’t help myself get caught by what has happened.
One episode I saw had to deal with a kid ghost and how it tore the family apart. Sappy as it was, it was very emotional.
But I was happy to hear the Coldplay song 42.

Last night’s episode was the Jennifer Love Hewitt directorial episode.
It was a interesting episode.
Had more paranormal than the emotional stuff.
But had the typical love story stuff.

Another show I saw last week was Flashpoint.
Surprised that show is doing well in the USA too.
Its one of those shows that is filmed in Toronto  and being very Canadian but catering to the American market.
Last week I watched one episode where this wife couldn’t have a baby and went hysteria thinking her husband was having an affair.

Since my Friday nights are sometimes mostly attending some shows but with the strike is just stare in front of the TV.
