Tonight I went to the NAC to see the Sci-Fi Spectacular.
Must be the inner geek that wanted to go check it.
Which they played music from various movies and TV from the world of Sci-fi.
The main feature was George Takei.
Who is famous in playing the role of Mr.Sulu on the original Star Trek.
Also playing Hiro’s father on the show HEROES.
It was a treat for sci-fi fans to have a celebrity like him to be in Ottawa.
When he was on stage, all I think of him is when he does the voice of Akira on the Simpsons.
He was just simply him.
Mentioned about the new Star Trek movie and how it is really great.
Mentioned about the history of the character of Sulu since JJ Abrams was kind of worried about casting a different Asian actor for the film.
image018After the show ended, I followed the apt613 people and got a special meet and greet with George Takei.
I was so star struck and everyone who is more of a big fan were like happy.
I got his autograph and asked if he would be returning to HEROES.
He said that he will be likely make a return in Volume 5 (aka Season 4).
Everyone in the room were gasped with surprised to hear that.

It was an amazing night to see such a nice actor to make an appearance in Ottawa.
