Went to my first CreativeMornings Ottawa on December 14th.
This time it was in the afternoon and took place at St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts.
Their speaker for December was Steve Beauchesne of Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company.
There was food and drinks by Art Is In and Seed to Sausage.
Here are the photos from the event.
Went to my first Pecha Kucha Ottawa on December 4th.
Since I heard about this event through word of mouth and social media.
So why not check it out and good thing I did go since I know two people there presenting their stuff.
The event took place at Shopify.
Here is a what this event does.
Pecha Kucha is an event for creatives of all kinds to meet, show work and share ideas spontaneously and casually, using a presentation format of 20 slides which are shown for 20 seconds each. Pecha Kucha Night is all about interaction, direct feedback, eye contact and excitement.
Adding that ephemeral, yet essential haptic experience which simply cannot be communicated any other way.
Went to Fabrications Grand Opening on November 30th.
The store is located on 1098A Somerset St.
For those that don’t know what it is, basically they sell fabrics (ones that are unique or hard to find ones) and also give lessons on sewing.
I happened to know the owner of the store (Curtis and Carrie), so why not come to the grand opening and support them.
Check out their interview by apt613.
