Here is day 4 of the holiday contest that I am doing on this site.
Went to the Craft Walk through Ottawa’s Chinatown.
Purple Urchin is a Ottawa based business where they make natural handmade bath and body products made from scratch.
The store is located on 882 Somerset St. West.
They thoroughly research everything that goes into their products, and create the recipes on their own.
They don’t use any synthetic preservatives, detergents, or pthalates in the products.
Thanks to Rebecca, she was kind to donate a bar and I bought one for my own for this contest.
The bars are:
Blackberry Ripple and Lumberjack.
The Blackberry Ripple smells so much like candy. While the Lumberjack is very woodsy smell.
I know they are soap but they would make a nice gift for someone who isn’t fond of the everyday soap filled with nasty chemicals.
If you want to give a special someone or yourself the bars of soap.
There are two ways to enter this contest.
- “Like” Purple Urchin Soap on Facebook and comment on their wall.
Fill out this form. In the message box, say: “I wanna win the bars of soap.”
The winner goes to Kyla Farmer.
Good luck for those that entered!
Here is day 3 of the holiday contest that I am doing on this site.

Here is day 2 of the holiday contest that I am doing on this site.
Thanks to the lovely people at apt613 (Ottawa blog).
They were nice to giveaway a t-shirt.
The t-shirts were part of a contest that asked artists from Ottawa and beyond to create their own interpretation of Ottawa, be it based on its best or worst features.
Which was voted by the public which resulted with three cool designs.
If you want to give a special someone or yourself to have this t-shirt.
- “Like” apt613 on Facebook.
- Add them on Twitter
and tweet this contest. Fill out this form. In the message box, say” “I wanna win a apt613 t-shirt”.
The winner went to Rob Bode Ferguson.
Good luck to those that entered!
It’s December, so this means the holidays are in full swing.
So, starting today I will try to do some sort of contest for the month of December.
Winning something could mean good gift ideas for someone – or for yourself!
This being my non-music blog. I wanted to find something that isn’t music related so people in Ottawa can enjoy.
